Residents Invited to Help Shape Austin–Travis County Wildfire Protection Plan
Residents of Austin and Travis County are invited to help shape local wildfire preparedness efforts through upcoming public meetings and an online survey as part of the Austin–Travis County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) update.
The CWPP is a collaborative effort involving local fire departments, emergency management agencies, Travis County, the City of Austin, and community partners working together to reduce wildfire risk, improve emergency response coordination, and support recovery planning. The plan guides long-term strategies to protect homes, infrastructure, and neighborhoods where development meets wildland vegetation.
Community input is a key part of the process.
